Hi Cross of Glory Family and Friends!

Crown Him with Many Crowns!  Hosanna in the Highest!

Join us this Sunday, April 2nd at 10 AM for Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week.

Here is the link:     Join Zoom Meeting
As always, you see the Celebrate and the Hymns for Sunday.

And then a couple of reminders…

1.  Bonnie Frank’s funeral will be at Cross of Glory tomorrow, Saturday, April 1st at 11 AM.  Julie Blakely… always doing a marvelous job with Zoom… will be projecting the service from the back of the sanctuary.  Use the link above to get into the funeral.  Of course, you are welcome to join us at Cross of Glory for the service as well.  There will be a reception after the funeral in our Fellowship Hall.  IF you want to bring something to share… feel free… though I think we are set with the loving people who already volunteered to help. Memorials in Bonnie’s name will be given to Cross of Glory… for this, we thank Greg and Carole Frank. Be looking in a separate email I am about to send you, the funeral service liturgy for Bonnie’s remembrance.

2.  There will be NO 6:30 Tuesday evening Bible Study this week given ALL that is happening this busy, beautiful Holy Week.

3.  There will be NO Wednesday Noon worship service this week at the church.  RATHER… ATTEND MAUNDY THURSDAY WORSHIP AT PRINCE OF PEACE THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 6TH AT NOON AND THEN ATTEND GOOD FRIDAY NOON WORSHIP AT CROSS OF GLORY THE NEXT DAY, APRIL 7TH.  Please call me if you need a ride.  I have been disappointed with our Lenten attendance this year.

I know… we have a lot going on… but please try to prioritize this time.  The God of love prioritizes us.  Invite your family and friends to join us.  Anyone interested in joining our church?  Please talk with me.  We hope to bring in new people on Easter!

Let us give OUR palms… OUR hands… OUR lives… to Him!

Pastor Mike Lemke

PS:  I do not see that Mom, Mary Lemke has sent over the hymns for Palm Sunday to me.  Perhaps I will send them in an email later on Saturday.  Mom has been SO busy trying to get the newsletter out to us this last week… working on the funeral bulletin for Bonnie… a new Palm Sunday bulletin… our upcoming Good Friday service… and 2 different Easter bulletins!!!  WOW!!!  Just know that if you do not get the hymns for Sunday, they are appropriately All Glory Laud and Honor… Crown Him with Many Crowns… and Lead On O King Eternal.

Litany of Confession and Forgiveness

P:  Blessed be the holy Trinity + one God, who forgives all our sin, whose mercy endures forever.

C:  Amen.

P:  God of all mercy and consolation, come to the help of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone.  Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that we may confess our sin, receive your forgiveness and grow into the fullness of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

C:  Amen.

P:  Let us confess  our sin  in the presence of God and  of one another.   Most merciful God,

C:  We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name.  Amen.

P:  The Lord Jesus reminds us that He came into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world would be saved through Him. As a called and ordained minister of Christ, I declare to you that those sins that have held you are forgiven and are bound both on earth and in heaven, by the power of the Spirit of God.  In the name of the Father, and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit.

C:  Amen.

P:  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

C:  Amen.

The Apostles’ Creed

C:  I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended into hell.  On the third day He rose again;  He ascended into Heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.  Amen.

Offering

The Offertory Song:

C: Create in me a clean heart oh God, and renew a right Spirit within me.  Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me.  Restore unto me the joy of your salvation and renew a right spirit within me.
