Remember going to Arts & Crafts events in July and finding so many things for Christmas?  Christmas in July!

Last year was different to say the least. Not being in church for services, especially through the holidays, not celebrating with family or friends and not seeing the wonderful volunteers ring the bells for the Salvation Army at stores. 

This month we will support the Salvation Army for our Outreach focus. Christmas in July. A Christian based organization since 1865, their mission statement reads:

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.  Its message is based on the Bible.  Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.  Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

They are in 130 countries.  Salvation Army provides services from meals to disaster relief, homeless shelters to summer camps.  23 million Americans benefit each year.  If you would like more information, their website is salvationarmyusa.org.
