RALLY SUNDAY DETAILS! SEPTEMBER 8 “COME TO THE TABLE”

SEPTEMBER 8 “COME TO THE TABLE”

Please join us for Rally Sunday on September 8.  Our service will be held outside under the “Big White Tent”. We have many activities planned.  We have a special communion planned.  We will have a celebration picnic after worship.  Invite your kids, friends, grandparents – everyone!

Part of our day will be committed to the annual “God’s Work, Our Hands” program. We will put blessing bags together while our hot dogs are being grilled.

There is other “fun” stuff being planned….But I want that to be a surprise…

JOIN THE FUN!!!!

RALLY SUNDAY FIRST COMMUNION CELEBRATION

We all love Kelli Dankenbring’s son, Carson. Believe it or not, the time has come for Carson to receive his first communion! I (Pastor Mike) have enjoyed spending preparation sessions with Carson and his family at the Dankenbring home. Join us Sunday, September 8, when Carson, on Rally Sunday, will receive his first communion.

We know our congregation wants to celebrate with Carson. As you continue to mentor him in faith, be with him especially on Rally Sunday as we congratulate him on yet another step in his faith journey.

Congratulations, Carson! We love you! We celebrate with you on your wonderful day!

RALLY SUNDAY SPECIAL SERVICE PROJECT

Join us on September 8 for a special Rally Sunday Service Project.  Congregations across the country participate in service projects in September as part of the ELCA’s “God’s Work, Our Hands” community service effort.  Cross of Glory will be participating too, along with help from our friends from Prince of Peace!  We will assemble blessing bags with various items that can be given to the people we often see holding signs for money at major intersections.  Plan now to stay after church that day to be part of the blessing bag assembly team, and to take some of the blessing bags with you afterwards.  A picnic lunch will add to the day’s fun.  Funds for this blessing bags project are generously provided by Thrivent Financial as an Action Team Project.  For more information about Thrivent Financial, please talk to me, Julie Prange, Carin Davis or Jan Reich.
