OUR COMPLETE LENTEN /HOLY WEEK/EASTER SCHEDULE

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 6.

We will soon be observing the sacred Lenten season and consequent Holy Week and Easter observances with renewed zeal and devotion beginning with our Ash Wednesday Service on March 6 which starts at 7:00 PM at Cross of Glory. Pastor Mike will lightly rub the sign of the cross with ashes onto our foreheads. Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing the spiritual disciplines of fasting, repentance, and prayer.  Lent begins 40 days prior to Easter (Sundays are not included). Easter Sunday this year is April 21.

Cross of Glory and Prince of Peace Lutheran (2400 South Colorado Blvd.) Churches will host alternate Lenten Services. Soup Suppers are scheduled for 6:00 PM prior to the Wednesday services. The Wednesday evening Lenten offerings will be given to The Lutheran Bethesda Ridge Road Group Home for people with disabilities.

Please be sure to be with us as we reflect on Jesus’ great love for us and our response to God’s grace. You note that we are holding services in the evening. Many remarked they preferred evening Lenten services to our noon offerings of the past. Consequently, we anticipate having good attendance these upcoming Wednesday evenings. Please be supportive! Come to church on these Wednesdays!

On the Wednesday services, we are holding 6:00 PM Soup Suppers prior to our Lenten worship. When we worship at Cross of Glory, please consider sharing a soup. Thank you for signing the sheet in our Fellowship Hall.

Offerings for our Lenten season will be going to Lutheran Bethesda Ridge Road Group Home for people with disabilities.
