INSPIRING THOUGHTS FROM STEVE WILSON, OUR EDUCATION CHAIRPERSON

Today is the day the Lord has made. What a blessing to be alive. Come with me for just a short while and put aside earthly problems, cares and regrets. Close your eyes, be still and know that I am God. There is no reason for fear, for all worries and pain are only temporary and God is in control. The Father has blessed us with a two-edged sword, free will, and the choices we make in life are ours. His love is constant and lasts far beyond this particular lifetime. And we are free to accept the unending love of our Father in heaven. It is our good fortune to love the Lord, the giver of life, and worship Him daily with a spirit of gratitude. Accepting the love of God in our lives, it is ours to give love to one another. Our Savior, our Messiah, the Christ Jesus is with us and is always our source of love in times of need. His love is beyond understanding and, truly, we are blessed to receive it. If we can give from our hearts, we will inherit our souls.

Praise God. Amen

If you could have a face-to-face conversation with anyone, who would it be? Maybe a famous movie actress or a popular rock star? Perhaps you would want to have a time with a world leader or a mover and groover in society. How many of you would welcome a conversation with the Creator of the universe? The Savior of your life? The Reason for life itself?

Every time you pray and every time you look at the Bible, you spend time with the Lover of your soul. And yet, so many neglect the opportunity to know more about God. You?

You have every opportunity to learn more about the Greatest One of All every Tuesday night at 6:30 via Zoom. Presently, we are studying the Old Testament book of Isaiah considering how Messianic prophecies were fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth. Get up a little earlier on Sunday mornings! Prior to 10:00 AM worship, join your friends for Adult Sunday School at 9:00. Pastor Mike is leading a study on, appropriately for Reformation October, Luther’s explanations to the Lord’s Prayer. Do not be like the many who neglect time with God. Grow in the Lord! Show your appreciation for His many blessings by being present with Him and for Him.

See you Tuesday? See you Sunday?
