A couple of things…Do you want to officially JOIN Cross of Glory?  You will have the opportunity to do so. What better way to begin a brand-new year by making the commitment to say, THIS IS MY CHURCH HOME.  I WANT TO GROW MYSELF AND OTHERS THROUGH THIS MINISTRY.  You are invited to join our church in a ‘take-in”.  Talk with me or Lisa Schmidt, our Outreach and Evangelism Council person, ASAP to schedule.

Please keep Wes and Janet Munsil in your prayers.  Wes will be going back into a surgery to address a clogged heart vessel this Friday, January 5th.
Vada Danforth will be having a cataract surgery sometime soon.  Please encourage Vada in your supports.
Lindsey Janoe has had a heck of time with a recent cold.  Let us pray that with healing and our love she kicks this!
Newsletter are in your mailslots (You are the GOAT Mom!)… as well as some possible other GOODIES!  Check it out!
Wow!  2024! Wow!
WE ARE BLESSED!  Pastor Todd will be conducting the service for a few weeks, as I am out of town!
Happy New Year!
Pastor Mike Lemke

Opening Hymn

“Here I Am, Lord”

ELW Page 574

(Verses 1, 2)

1.

I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin My hand will save
I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send?
Refrain

Here I am, Lord.  Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.

I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

2.
 I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain.
I have wept for love of them. They turn away.
I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone.
I will speak my word to them. Whom shall I send?
Refrain

Here I am, Lord.  Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.

I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.

Hymn of the Day

“All Who Believe and Are Baptized”

ELW Page 442

(Verses 1, 2)

1.

All who believe and are baptized
     Shall see the Lord’s salvation;
     Baptized into the death of Christ,
     They are a new creation;
     Through Christ’s redemption they will stand
     Among the glorious heavenly band
     Of every tribe and nation.

2.

With one accord, O God, we pray,
     Grant us your Holy Spirit;
     Help us in our infirmity
     Through Jesus’ blood and merit;
     Grant us to grow in grace each day
     By holy Baptism that we may

 Eternal life inherit.

Closing Hymn

“Take My Life, That I May Be”

ELW Page 685

(Verses 1, 2, 3)

1.

Take my life that I may be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

2.

Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3.

Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.
