Hi Cross of Glory!
And Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Wherever you were, I pray that God was indeed a part of your Thanksgiving. How sad if not.
Here is the forever link! Pass the word! As we end a liturgical church year and begin yet another one with tomorrow, the First Sunday in Advent, let us make New Year Resolutions early and re-commit to Christ and His Church!

Please return your Time, Talent and Treasure Pledges for 2025 and join the many who already have. (Or perhaps you are choosing another church fellowship, which would be helpful to know). Thank you.
As you know, I am trying to visit all our members this month of November. If I have not met you yet, please reach out to me and let me know some possible times for me to come by and say, “Hello!”
Your Nominating Committee is trying to fill vacancies on Church Council. If you are asked to serve in this special capacity, please say, “Yes.” What we are doing is steeped in prayer. There will be a Congregational Meeting to elect new officers to Council right after worship on Sunday, December 15th.
I will be leading a new 10 AM Thursday morning class on a comparison/contrast of Lutheranism to other denominations THIS Thursday, December 5th. Please come!
We are about to move into arguably the most beautiful time of the church year. Do remember however that Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year’s celebrations may be difficult for many. Let us know of your prayer requests and needs. WE ARE FAMILY. LET US INCLUDE ONE ANOTHER.Pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit on our congregation as we move into a brand-new church year. Challenges (opportunities) are before us.
“With men things are impossible, but with God, all things are possible.”
We are blessed!

CROSS OF GLORY MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
DECEMBER 1, 2024
EVERY SUNDAY AT CROSS OF GLORY
Worship Service/Holy Communion at 10:00 AM and With Zoom Technology.
Prior to our 10:00 AM Worship Service, plan to be with us for our Adult Bible Study at COG at 9:00 AM! It’s an amazing way to begin your Sunday!
POWER HOUR PRAYER MINISTRY
We are encouraged to pray. God knows our needs, our joys even before we approach heaven’s throne of grace. God wants us to pray because WE WILL BE THE BETTER FOR IT!
After worship each Sunday, beginning at 11:30 AM, we invite you to return to our sanctuary for 30 minutes of concentrated prayer. Joining other friends from church, we pray for ourselves, for others, for all. Be better! Enhance your friendship with God… and with one another!
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1
FIRST SUNDAY IN ADVENT!
The First Sunday in Advent is December 1 as we begin our preparation for Our Savior’s birth! We have a different Order of Service for Advent which includes favorite Christmas carols. Make plans to be with us for our 10:00 AM Worship Service.
STEWARDSHIP EMPHASIS
On Sunday, November 10, our 2024 Stewardship emphasis began. In November, time is set aside to specifically look at our many ministry talents and indicate which and where we are excited to share these talents with everyone.
Either at Cross of Glory or via the mail, information was distributed – a letter from Pastor Mike expressing his thanks and appreciation for each of you, a Financial Pledge Card and a Time and Talent Sheet. Please read each of those carefully as you prayerfully share your desires as to how you can support Cross of Glory’s ministry physically and financially in 2025. An envelope was provided, addressed to our Financial Secretary, Pam Lugo, for you to privately submit your financial intention to support COG’s ministry. The sealed envelope can either be mailed, put in our offering plate, or given to Pam. Your Time and Talent Sheet can be placed in the offering plates or given to our Stewardship Chairperson, Carin Davis. IF you did not receive the Stewardship Packet, please contact Carin Davis or leave a message at Cross of Glory at 303-756-0735 with your name and telephone number.
Reminder – We would appreciate it if you could return both to Cross of Glory by this Sunday, December 1. THANK YOU, GOD’S FAMILY!
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3
BIBLE STUDY
Our Tuesday 6:30 PM Zoom Bible Study will meet on December 3 as we continue to study, view and discuss episodes of “The Chosen.” Steve Wilson and Pastor Mike are watching the episodes and taking notes. We invite you to do the same. In preparation for our watching and discussing “The Chosen,” it can be found on the website, https://www.angel.com/watch/the-chosen (PC), or via Netflix and Amazon Prime (TV). We will discuss the episode for an hour. This series is too good to pass up.
