New Bible Study – Luther Looks at the Apostle’ Creed

December 5 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

It would be 300 years after Jesus’ resurrection that the first Christian emperor, Constantine, ruled the Holy Roman Empire.  Constantine  called together bishops from the then-known church areas of the realm, this to Nicea in 325 AD to hammer out a common creed against the backdrop of numerous weird notions of God and Christian belief  (the heresies) of his day. The Nicene Creed was born!  In would be in 381 AD that the Apostles’ Creed would follow.

Join Pastor Mike as he leads us in a discussion of Martin Luther’s understanding of the Apostles’ Creed at Cross of Glory on Thursday mornings at 10:00  AM beginning appropriately October 31st, the 95 Theses date, 507 years ago! We will be using Luther’s Small Catechism as we delve into understandings of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Perhaps you will remember bits from your Confirmation days.

Or better yet, things may be entirely new!  Join!
